The newest version of the Bajaj Pulsar hit the Nepalese markets a few weeks ago. The new Pulsar FI ABS 200 NS that has been made with the safety in mind. The new NS has the FI system or Fuel Injected system with the addition of a single-channel ABS system. This combination making it so that, it has the maximum amount of performance but with the combining force of the ABS system, making it both powerful as well as safe on the roads of Kathmandu or any road or off-road in particular.
The pricing of the bike seems to be one of the most reasonable out there in the Nepalese market as the price difference between both the bike with Fuel Injected system combined with FI – ABS system and the one without both of these systems is on it is Rs 35000. Though there are variants where you can have ABS system but not the Fuel Injected system. The difference between the ABS variant and the one without the ABS or the FI is just Rs 15000. This being said, Upgrading to a safer form of riding with a better braking system has never been this reasonable. As most of the bikes that have ABS and the same bikes not having ABS have normally, a price difference of nearly a lakh rupees at times. Anti-Locking Braking System (ABS) has been a great feature that has been created in years. As everyone knows ABS or Anti-Locking system works to prevent wheels of the vehicle from locking or freezing up (Freezing up in the sense that the wheels jam itself from moving) during scenarios where the rider jams the brake of the wheels due to a possible accident occurring conditions or in a panic-stricken condition. During such situations, the Anti locking system prevents the wheels from locking and makes it safer for riding. Though in the past years, when this system was introduced, it was strictly only reserved for the premium bikes that you would have to pay a lot of money for. But in recent years, more bikes have been adopting this system, though the cost does go up significantly. But Bajaj has come to provide this system in a more reasonable price range. With the price range that only differs from one another by the mere amount considering what the other companies charge for similar features, with similar power and other various similarities among the bikes that are currently in the market.
Before Dashain, the bike was on pre-booking, but of now when posting this article, the bike has already hit showrooms of Bajaj, and you might have seen the variants on the streets of your place. The bike had been long-awaited for a long time, but as soon as the bike hit the showrooms, the bike has been selling like hotcakes. They have had a very good response, as the safety of the bike rider and the bike itself has been considered and been kept in the new and better Pulsar NS 200.
The new FI ABS Pulsar NS 200 has a 199.5 CC liquid-cooled, Fuel-injected engine. The bike can generate a maximum power of 23..17 PS at 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm at 8000 rpm. The bike has a 6-speed gearbox, and a total fuel capacity of 12L. While looking at all these specifications, one may say there have been made no changes to the major specifications to the bike at all. But the major changes are the Fuel-injected system, which significantly increases the fuel economy of the bike itself.
As you can see from the above list of specifications, there have not been major changes to core of the bike. The major change is to that of the bike being a Fuel Injected engine which obviously increases the economy of the fuel consumed by the bike , to provide the rider with better mileage than before, and the other major change being the single channel ABS which increases the safety of the bike and rider consequently in rough or stressful braking times. Which also increases the performance of the bike itself. As most people had expected a complete overhaul of the bike in this new rendition of the bike with ABS and a Fuel Injected system. The bike does not get an complete overhaul, instead it only gets a few features added and the bike does get a bit of a muscular look and comes in two new colors as well.
As you must have noticed, there are not many changes to the bike itself, Only changes are to the safety and the fuel efficiency of the bike
Bajaj NS 200 Price in Nepalese Rupees with only ABS : Rupees 3,34,900
Bajaj NS 200 Price in Nepalese Rupees with ABS and Fuel Injected system: Rupees 3,54,900
From the above mentioned price points you must have guessed it that the variants are not very far apart in the price range. Its only 20,000 Rupees difference when it comes to buying the variant with both the systems and the other one with only one system. What would we personally suggest is getting the variant with both the systems as that would mean you are getting the best amount of safety with the best amount of mileage installed into the bike. And also without breaking the bank as well.
There have been various other bikes with single channel ABS attached to them in Nepal as of the date this is being written, with that in mind , If you look into all these variants , you will find that the price points are very high among other premium brands compared to the one Bajaj is offering. So, Kudos to Bajaj Nepal for providing the Nepalese customers with a bike that has the newer features integrated into them without having to pay a huge amount of money. With this bike having hit the Nepalese market, we may expect a few bikes with similar systems to have a change in their price points, with mainly the prices being dropped a bit to meet the competitive market of Nepal.
